    TNT appoints Christophe Boustouller Managing Director, TNT Italy

    17 March 2015 - Christophe Boustouller, 49, has been appointed Managing Director for TNT Italy. A French national, Christophe joins the company from the cold chain logistics firm Cryo Express, where he was General Manager.

    With 25 years of experience in transport, logistics and supply chain management, Christophe brings extensive knowledge and sales expertise to his new position. From 2002, Christophe held the role of General Manager for several medium-sized companies with international activities. Prior to this, he worked for DHL and TNT Express France.

    Christophe Boustouller will be responsible for the domestic and international operations of TNT in Italy. He succeeds Tony Jakobsen, who has been appointed as Business Development Director, TNT Domestics.

    Christophe Boustouller commented on his recent appointment: “I’m honored to take on this new and challenging responsibility. One of my first objectives is to develop a customer centric approach, building on a team of more than 7,000 people”.

    TNT Italy, headquartered in Turin, operates more than 100 depots and hubs as well as a fleet of 2,750 vehicles.

     

    TNT appoints India country manager

    12 March 2015 - TNT has appointed P.L. Venkateswaran (Venkat) as its new managing director for TNT India. Venkat previously served as finance director of TNT East Asia. In this role he was responsible for managing the financial operations, legal and business control functions for a number of TNT countries, including India.

    Venkat has more than 14 years of experience in the express logistics industry, as well as extensive knowledge of Asian markets. Since joining TNT in 2001, he has held several senior finance positions in India, Asia and the company’s Global Networks Group. Prior to this, Venkat worked for about ten years at ICI and Pepsi in India.

    Venkat graduated from St Xavier’s College, Kolkata with a degree in commerce. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 1992 and completed a postgraduate management course from the Warwick Business School.

    In his new role as managing director of TNT India Private Limited, Venkat will be responsible for growing TNT’s international express delivery services and healthcare logistics business in India. Headquartered in Bangalore, TNT India operates a pick-up and delivery network comprising 100 offices and three major gateways in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore.
